I’d originally taken these photos for Instagram, but I felt like such a summer queen in this outfit, I thought I’d post them here as well!

Isn’t this jumpsuit simply glorious? It’s from Rachel Pally’s maternity line and was gifted to me, and is the first piece of legit maternity wear in my wardrobe! The material is a floaty rayon/viscose blend that billows quite dramatically when I move, especially around the legs! I ‘m wearing the XL here, which translates to a US size 12/14 – my pre-pregnancy size. There’s more than enough room in the folds to accommodate my belly without pulling at the inseam. I can totally see myself wearing this jumpsuit post-birth as well!

The plimsolls are another new addition to my wardrobe, gifted to me by Ace & Jig from their collaboration with Keds. I’d been looking for a pair of cute but wearable trainers for a long time, and the Celadon Kicks are just perfect! I was worried that the size 10 (US) wouldn’t be big enough for my feet but they’re just right and so, so comfy.

Fun fact: when I was a kid, plimsolls/gym shoes were universally called ‘keds’ even though it wasn’t a brand that was available in India! We’d go to Bata to pick up my school shoes every year, and along with the regular black mary janes, there’d be a pair of white ‘keds’ and a bottle of canvas paint to paint over eventual stains that wouldn’t wash out! And finally, in my 30s, here I am with my first pair of authentic Keds! Isn’t it lovely how life has a way of completing these circles?
