Bloomsbury

This Unique Vintage maxi has such an early 20th century vibe, it took me right back to the time I was obsessed with Virginia Woolf and the Bloomsbury hipsters. The hat and shoes are from widely differing eras but on the whole I feel this is the sort of wearable period look that I immensely enjoy.

Black Swan

I’d earmarked this Unique Vintage dress for a very romantic engagement dinner which didn’t quite happen after all (but it was alright because it ended in sappy crying and roses.) Life turns up the loveliest surprises sometimes though, and le fiance and I ended up staying at a rather posh hotel last night and had such a grand old time.

Secret Garden

Could anything possibly be more summery than a white eyelet sundress and a boater? When Pepperberry offered to send me a piece from their SS15 collection, this floaty delight immediately caught my eye.

Monsoon Balloon

If there ever was a photoshoot beset with obstacles. Look at me, I even got hold of a prop and DIY’ed it – that’s serious bloggery effort there.

With Lavender And Lace

You know when you take a bunch of outfit photos after an awfully long time and you hate all of them because you just feel so rusty and the heat was melting your makeup anyway but then you really want to show off your cute new With Lavender And Lace bow and the dungaree dress that you’ve worn for a week straight because you love it THAT much and so, yeah, here I am back again despite the unholy temperatures in these parts. How’s summer treating y’all?

Stormy Eveningtide

Some photos of the rooftop garden during the evening lull of the kalboishakhi, one of our beloved summer storms. We’re all glad of the rain today, I think.

Being Alive

I never used to wear t-shirts because it was so hard to find one that actually fit without trying to strangle or drown me. And then I found ASOS “The Crew” and I’m a convert.

Reclaim The Bindi

I’m reclaiming the bindi and what better way to do it than get incredibly meta about the whole hippie-boho-peacelovenamaste look? With a liberal sprinkling of 60s filminess, ofcourse.
