The garden centre at Lal Bagh is one of my favourite places in Bangalore. While the gardens themselves are fairly bustling, the nurseries are an oasis of sorts. I can spend hours there amongst the flowers and the ferns, picking out new additions for my growing indoor garden. A couple of weeks ago, I went with my friend Antara to this garden of The Nurserymen (real name, no lie) and got some plants for her new flat. Despite the humidity inside the nurseries which made my hair frizz and steamed all the wrinkles back into my dress, we had to take some photos in the hothouse paradise setting. If you’re in Bangalore, I recommend a visit to this place at least once. Even if you don’t subscribe to the nature hoe aesthetic, it’s difficult to not be charmed by the sense of peace and quietude that permeates it throughout.
