Owen and I got engaged a long long time ago but on his recent visit to India (which is also his final trip here for the foreseeable future!) we decided to have this vineyard engagement session to mark all the wonderful times we’ve spent together in India. We hadn’t thought about a pre-wedding shoot at first, but it all came together quite organically while planning this trip! As I’ve been shooting with Shutter Diaries for the blog since the beginning of the year, and it’s been a wonderful experience throughout, we immediately asked them if they’d like to shoot our engagement photos as well! We spent a golden afternoon at the Soma Vineyards, an absolutely sublime place in southern India’s wine country, and made some magical memories to go with the photos. These are for cherishing, these are forever.
Our love story has been more epic than fairytale. Four years long distance with my mental health and the UK government between us hasn’t always been easy but we’ve persisted because nothing is as good as the two of us together. I still wake up every day looking forward to hearing Owen’s voice, he still goes to sleep every night with me on the phone next to him. It never stopped being special. And may it remain so till the end of our days. Before I met Owen, I would never have believed that this kind of love existed but then I found him for myself. He’s love. He’s home. And together, we raise a glass to forever. Here’s to a lifetime of each other, to love, to hold, to cherish.
